As the past two decades have shown trying to get global agreement on tackling climate change seems to be futile. By comparison, more focused and limited interest of elites, however, are easier to push through, such as wars based on geopolitical threats, or economic crises
Furthermore, as the West has generally shown in the past decade or more (even when their economies were doing good) paying now for something that seems to be a problem in the future is hard to accept. It is easier, therefore, to stall and keep blaming China, India and other emerging nations despite the historical inequality of those emissions. But ignoring that makes it easier to hope these emerging nations will pick up the burden of addressing emissions rises.

Consensus resolution passed at in-camera Joint Sitting of Parliament

ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP): Following is the consensus resolution passed at the conclusion of the in-camera joint sitting of the parliament :-
“This in-camera joint session of Parliament has noted with great concern that extremism, militancy and terrorism in all forms and manifestations pose a grave danger to the stability and integrity of the nation-state. It was recalled that in the past the dictatorial regimes pursued policies aimed at perpetuating their own power at the cost of national interest.
This House, having considered the issue thoroughly and at great length is of the view that in terms of framing laws, building institutions, protecting our citizens from violence, eradication of terror at its roots, re-building our economy and developing opportunities for the disadvantaged, we all commit to the following:
1.That we need an urgent review of our national security strategy and revisiting the methodology of combating terrorism in order to restore peace and stability to Pakistan and the region through an independent foreign policy.
2.The challenge of militancy and extremism must be met through developing a consensus and dialogue with all genuine stakeholders.

Make Money with Reward Programs
Another one of those “quick” ways to make money online. Reward programs or as they are known online as GPT (stands for Get Paid To) are sites that pay their members for doing variety of things. Basically, you earn money for doing thing that you already do online in some way or another, such as signing up for freebies, registering with interesting sites, shopping, visiting different websites ad etc. GPT site are like middle man, they get paid from advertisers to drive leads (you) to them. They then give a percentage of what they earn from their advertisers with their members.

Salim Saifullah, chairman of Pakistan's Senate foreign relations committee, warned that relations, which are already at a low point, could worsen further following the decision by the U.S. House of Representatives-Senate panel.
"I don't think this is a wise move. It could hurt ties. There should instead be efforts to increase cooperation. I don't see any good coming out of this," Saifullah told Reuters.
But in Washington, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the United States and Pakistan had already been working together on the issue of homemade bombs, or improvised explosive devices.
"So if -- obviously if this legislation becomes law, we'll work with the government of Pakistan on how we can fulfill the requirements," she said
